Maintenance Courses

We have run the professional cycle maintenance training centre for the South East since 2003 with well paid, experienced staff offering the highest quality instruction, unlike free or cheaper courses. We cover courses for all abilities and welcome beginners, women cyclists and those with disabilities. We charge £75 for one day, £65 for the second, and £55 for the third to encourage you to take all three ‘levels’.

Those wishing to advance to the highest level may wish to take our popular two day bike mechanics certificate course.

Our bike maintenance group training days run on Saturdays from 12 midday to 6:00pm at our workshop at –
St Mary’s Church Hall,
61 St James’s Street,
Kemp Town, Brighton BN2 1PR

We have four progressive levels and also run one to one sessions: please click an icon for details.

Level 1

We improve your efficiency and speed on all those common maintenance issues including punctures, lubrication, bike rider set up and adjustments.

Level 2

takes you on to brake and gear systems.

Level 3

deals with all the more difficult aspects of maintenance which need occasional attention.

BFL Protech Level 4

is our advanced course aimed at those wishing to enter the bike industry professionally as a mechanic or for the keen amateur enthusiast.

One-to-One

These are private personalised courses or sessions with one of our mechanics.
